WorkingSolutions Program

To help you cope with life’s challenges, Grainger offers you and your family no-cost access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is provided through Optum, a division of UnitedHealth Group (UHC). This confidential support is available 24/7 for everyday issues or more serious problems.

EAP services are available to all regular full-time and part-time team members, retirees and family members (includes spouse or domestic partner and dependent child(ren)). Even if you waive medical coverage through Grainger, or if your medical plan carrier is not UHC, you can take advantage of EAP services.

If you do have Grainger medical coverage, the EAP may still be valuable for an initial assessment and to help you transition to further treatment through your medical plan's behavioral health network.

EAP Services Through Talkspace

Through Talkspace, you can connect with a licensed, in-network therapist anytime via text, phone or video, from the comfort of home. It is a private, confidential and convenient online service that provides access to professional help on your time. Each Talkspace "session" counts as one EAP counseling visit.

How It Works

  • Regular communication via text, voice and video message. Each session includes one week of unlimited messaging with your dedicated therapist via text, voice or video. After you send a message, your therapist will respond within one working day, during their business hours, five days a week.
  • Live video sessions as needed. If you prefer to connect to your therapist in real time, you can schedule a live video session via the Talkspace mobile app (available for iOS and Android devices). Each completed live video appointment is considered one session.
  • Provider matching. 5,000+ licensed behavioral health clinicians are available across all 50 states and are matched to members based on location, needs and preferences.
  • Support for anxiety, depression, PTSD and other conditions. Specialized clinicians are available for conditions like substance abuse, eating or compulsive disorders.
