Eligible team members receive a gift from Grainger to celebrate new additions to their family and upon retirement.

Birth & Adoption Gifts Snapshot

Who is eligible?

All U.S. regular full-time and regular part-time team members on an approved parental leave are eligible to receive birth and adoption gifts.

What is it?

After the birth or adoption of a minor child, team members receive a Grainger-branded baby onesie and child sunglasses. These gifts are sent to the team member’s home the month following their approved parental leave.

What to do

The gifting process will be integrated into the leave of absence process and will be triggered automatically once the team member is on an approved parental leave. HRBPs/leaders no longer need to submit a request for team members to receive a birth or adoption gift.

Leaders are encouraged to celebrate team members during this big life event by sending an ecard on Grainger Stars.

Retirement Gifts Snapshot

Who is eligible?

U.S. team members are eligible for Grainger’s Retirement Recognition Benefits when they retire AND meet at least one of the following conditions:

  • Reach age 55 with at least 20 years of service, or
  • Reach age 60 with at least 10 years of service, or
  • Complete 25 years of service

What is it?

After retiring, team members receive a Grainger-branded desk clock and thank-you note from our CEO. The gift is sent to the team member’s home the month following their retirement.

What to do

The gifting process will be automatically integrated into the retirement process. HRBPs/Leaders no longer need to submit a request for team members to receive a retirement gift.

Leaders are encouraged to celebrate team members on this special career event by requesting a retirement celebration page or sending an ecard on Grainger Stars.

The last 18 months have pulled us in all sorts of directions and presented several new challenges.
