Protect yourself and your community from the flu

It’s important to get a flu shot every year. The vaccine reduces your own risk of developing the flu and, by staying healthy, you will help keep your family, community and coworkers safe as well.

How It Works

Every fall, Grainger makes it easy and affordable for team members and their family members to get flu shots.

Who is eligible?

  • Onsite flu shots and vouchers are available to all team members.
  • Covered team members, spouses/domestic partners and dependents can get a flu shot covered at 100% through their Grainger medical plan.
  • Non-covered family members, temporary team members, seasonal team members, and contractors are not eligible for a free flu shot through Grainger, but should review options through their medical provider.

Grainger Team Members

If you have Grainger medical coverage

There are two ways to get your free flu shot using your medical and prescription benefits:

  • Use your Express Scripts prescription drug card at Walgreens, CVS or another in-network pharmacy with an onsite clinic, or
  • Go to an in-network doctor using your medical card. The flu shot is covered at 100%, so you won’t pay office visit fees, copays or deductibles (office visit fees may apply if you see your doctor for reasons other than the flu shot).

If you do not have Grainger medical coverage

You can request a Walgreens voucher to get your free flu shot. Keep in mind this voucher option is only for team members, but covered spouses/domestic partners and covered dependents can get free flu shots, too (see “Spouses/Domestic Partners and Dependents” below).

If you work at a Distribution Center

Many Distribution Centers host onsite flu shot clinics in the fall. If you are able to get a flu shot at work, this is the easiest option, regardless of whether you have Grainger medical coverage. This onsite option is only for team members, but covered spouses/domestic partners and covered dependents can get free flu shots, too (see Spouses/Domestic Partners and Dependents below).

Check this year’s clinic schedule when it becomes available to confirm that your location is participating. To reserve an appointment, talk to your local HR manager.

Spouses/Domestic Partners and Dependents

While onsite events and vouchers are for Grainger team members only, covered spouses/domestic partners and covered dependents still have two options to get a flu shot:
