Your Cost for Coverage
Grainger offers access to a wide range of benefits…from programs that provide a safety net to opportunities to enhance your everyday life and future.
In some cases, Grainger covers all or most of the cost of these benefits. In other cases, you pay some or all of the premium for coverage. You pay your portion of the cost of benefits through automatic payroll deductions with either pre-tax or after-tax dollars.
Your contributions for the medical plan, dental plan, vision plan and both the Dependent Care and Dental and Vision Flexible Spending Accounts are taken directly from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis. (These plans are regulated by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service [IRS], so you elect your contribution before the start of the plan year.)
Any contributions you make to your Health Savings Account, 401(k) account and Commuter Benefits account are taken directly from your pay on a pre-tax basis, but they are not irrevocable, and you are able to change them at any time.
Other contributions are deducted on an after-tax basis.
